Gerald Scola

Mr. Scola is a certified arbitrator and mediator who earned a BS Degree in Education from Rowan University and received his Master of Science Degree from William Paterson University.

In 1992 he was trained as a mediator  by the American Arbitration Association, and the New York Employment Relations Board. He is a certified arbitrator, and is on the panel of arbitrators of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services (FMCS), the New  Jersey State Board of Mediation (NJSBM), the New York State Employment Relations Board (NYSERB), and the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC).   He did foreclosure  mediation for Bergen, Hudson and Passaic County Superior Courts Special Civil Part. He is on the NJ 140 Civil Mediation Roster for Morris County. Mr. Scola mediated Special Civil cases for Passaic CountySuperior and Municipal Courts, and the Morris County Municipal Courts of Lincoln Park, Pequannock and Montville, NJ.

Mr. Scola is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM), theBergen County Divorce and Civil Mediator Group, and The NJ Labor and Employment Relations Association (NJLERA).

For twelve years, Mr. Scola, along with the help of a handful of dedicated facilitators, would bring together a group of individuals for a nine week program to help those individuals who were divorced or separated or who were in the process of being divorced. The program explored such topics as: self image, grief, loneliness, stress, anger, blame, guilt and forgiveness.  Each nine week session attracted, on average, about 30 people.
